Anton Aeki is an oldtime favourite of mine. He released stuff mainly on the net. Aeki worked with video artists on several projects. His work always has always fascinated me and so he was on my wishlist for a long time already. Finally he managed to send five wonderful works which all are mixture of live acoustic recordings and electronic blobs and whizzes.

Tracks are primarily based on recordings made in Chine and on the processing of thereof. All pieces have the same sound structure: 3 minutes of randomly chosen field recordings. 3 minutes of processed sound or sounds from external sources, 2 minutes of field recording chosen by the Minidisc player. Then the composition evolved independently for each piece.

Instrumentation: MD, protools, soundhack, GRM tools, max, slycer, akai s2000
